Charlotte Nelson, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Julius Nelson, was born on July 20. 1877, in Norway. She attended school and grew to womanhood in Norway. She was united in marriage wilh Anton Edward Blom on January 4, 1897, in Oslo, Norway, and the two of them united with the Seventh-day Adventist church by baptism. Seven children were born to the Bloms, five girls and two boys. They came to the United States in 1904 settling at Detroit Lakes where they resided until 1912 when they moved to Middle River, Minnesota where they have lived ever since. Mrs. Blom had been in failing health for several years and passed away at Karlstad on Wednesday evening, March 25. At the time of her death she was 81 years of age. She was preceded in death by 3 children, Naomi, Rachel, and Simon, and is survived by her husband, one son, C. Joseph Blom of Middle River; 3 daughters: Mrs. E. T. Anderson (Esther) of Lincoln, Nebraska, Mrs. Walter Thompson (Anna) of Middle River, and Mrs. Ray Nelson (Lydia) of Thief River Falls, Minnesota; also 20 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers, one sister, and many friends.
