Obituary

Mrs. Karen Patrina Ruskjer Larson was born June 23, 1893, at Henning, Minnesota. She died at her home July 8, 1971, in Bemidji, Minnesota. At the early age of 18, she started her teaching career and followed this profession for 46 years. In the last year of her teaching, at her retirement, she was named "The Teacher of Minnesota." She was baptized in the year, 1904, at Thief River Falls. Mrs. Larson was instrumental in beginning the welfare work of the Seventh-day Adventist Church at Bemidji, a work she dearly loved. Perseverance and liberality were two of her noted qualities.

She leaves to mourn, her husband, George Larson, of Bemidji; two brothers, Martinus Ruskjer of Madison, Wisconsin; and Jens Ruskjer, of Bemidji, Minnesota; one sister Matti Herwick of Falls City, Oregon. Interment was at the Jones Cemetery in Solway, Minnesota. Here she will await the call of her Lord at the first resurrection.
