Wedding Announcement

On Sunday afternoon, August 12, relatives and friends gathered to witness the wedding of Miss Mildred Wahlen and Mr. Einar Blomberg, which took place in the St. Paul First Seventh-day Adventist Church, the writer officiating. The setting of the newly-decorated church was fitting for the service, with gladioli and palms nicely arranged as a floral background. Appropriate vocal music was furnished by Elder and Mrs. E. L. Sorensen, accompanied by Lester Rogers at the organ. After the writer, the bridegroom, Mr. Elmer Larson the best man, and Sgt. Kenneth Wahlen brother of the bride, had taken their places on the rostrum, Miss Alice Larson the bridesmaid, led the way for the bride and her attendants. Miss Rose Syvertson maid of honor, was preceded by Maryl Flatin the flower girl. The bride was accompanied by her father who gave her away. Following the service about 150 guests repaired to the Volunteers of America Hall for the reception, where the bridal couple received the felicitations of their relatives and many friends. After a brief trip through the northern part of the state, the couple will make their home in St. Paul. We wish them heaven's choicest blessings as they travel life's pathway together.
