Wedding Announcement

The Minneapolis Southview Seventh-day Adventist Church was the setting of an impressive candlelight wedding service, Sunday, August 19, at 8:30 P.M., when Virginia Darlene Olson, only daughter of Mrs. Norma Olson of Minneapolis, was united in marriage to Jerome Carl Huset, son of Mrs. Walter Thompson, formerly of Middle River, Minnesota. Maid of honor was Mary Cravens of Minneapolis and best man was Calvin Huset, brother of the groom. Mrs. D. A. Riesen of Minneapolis sang, "O Perfect Love," "Wedding Prayer," and "The Lord's Prayer." Max Sievert of Minneapolis sang, "Because." Dr. Theodore Bergman of the McPhail School of Music provided nuptial organ selections and accompanied the soloists. G. R. Elstrom, pastor of the Southview Seventh-day Adventist Church, officiated. Following the sanctuary service, a reception for the wedding party and 350 guests was held in the church's fellowship hall. The bride is a 1960 graduate of Maplewood Academy. The groom also graduated from Maplewood Academy and attended Union College. He is furthering his musical education at McPhail School of Music. Both are employed at Fair Oaks Nursing Home in Minneapolis. The couple have made their home at Queen Ann Terrace, Lakeville, Minnesota. May God richly bless this new home.
