Wedding Announcement

Martha Jeanne Shelton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Shelton of Osseo, Minnesota, and Harold George Kaldahl of Hutchinson, Minnesota, were united in marriage at the home of the bride's parents on Sunday afternoon, June 17, 1951. The ceremony was held in a beautiful garden setting in the presence of a large number of friends. The matron of honor was Mrs. Richard Davis of Champlin, Minnesota, and the maid of honor was Miss Petersen of Anoka, Minnesota. Bridesmaids were Marthann and Linda Lu Lang of Monrovia, California, and Carol Jean Pearson of Santa Monica, California. Little Linda Mooty of Robbinsdale, Minnesota, was the flower girl. Gene Andersen of Maple Plain, Minnesota, was best man. Ushers were Gordon Anderson of Anoka, Leo Parks of Minneapolis, Gordon McMaude of Des Moines, and Kenneth Burgeson of Anoka. Ribbon bearers were Jon Marie Lang of Monrovia, California, and Sharon Weatherly of Anoka. Mrs. Frank Petersen, organist, of Anoka, played nuptial music and accompanied Gail Warn who sang "Thine Alone" and "The Lord's Prayer." A reception was held on the lawn immediately following the ceremony. Both the bride and groom were graduated from Maplewood Academy and attended Union College. Their home will be at Redwood City, California. The groom, who is in the Medical Corps of the United States Army, is stationed at nearby Letterman Hospital in San Francisco. May the Lord bless this fine couple as they establish a new Christian home.
