Wedding Announcement

Palms, candelabra, and arrangements of white chrysanthemums and blue daisies banked the altar of the First Congregational Church in Austin on Sunday, June 30, for the wedding of Shirley Jean Aultfather and Harlen Dean Peck. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Myron C. Aultfather, Austin, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Peck, Brainerd, Minnesota. Vocalists Don Burgeson and Mr. and Mrs. Larry Burgeson were accompanied by Mrs. Lawrence Dewey at the organ. Jeanne Rogers of St. Paul was maid of honor, Beverly Johnson of Bemidji and Mrs. Paul Tierney of Mound, Minnesota were bridesmaids, and Janice Rosenthal of Austin was junior bridesmaid. Jon Rosenthal of Austin attended the groom as best man and Gerald King, Jr. of Fort Worth, Texas and John Scott of Brainerd were groomsmen. Ushers were John Goslee of Austin and Robert Young of Brainerd. A reception for 250 guests followed immediately in the church parlors. Mr. and Mrs. Peck are both graduates of Maplewood Academy and have been attending Union College where they plan to continue their education. May the Lord richly bless this young couple as they begin the journey of life together. After a trip up the North Shore Drive and into Canada, Mr. and Mrs. Peck will be at home at 4426 Calvert, Lincoln, Nebraska.
